The photographs on this webpage were taken during a visit to Horizon 22, a public viewing gallery located on the 58th floor of the building. The gallery opened in September 2023 as the highest free viewing platform in London, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city skyline. Accessible via a high-speed elevator, visitors can enjoy unparalleled perspectives of landmarks like The Shard, Tower Bridge, and St Paul’s Cathedral. It is worth noting here that at the time of the visit (27th February, 2025) access was still free (booked in advance online with a specified time-slot), although there remains the possibility that Horizon 22 may start charging for tickets after 6 PM as it becomes a venue, or indeed start charging period. When visiting, it is worth noting that there are certain restrictions including photographic equipment that are permitted to be used (e.g. no camera zoom lenses) and permitted bag size, as you go through airport-style security before taking the lift to the 58th floor. Also, the viewing platform can get warm on sunny days.
One week after the visit featured here, world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay opened up one of his latest ventures on the 60th floor of the building, namely Lucky Cat. Billed as London’s highest restaurant with stunning 360° views of the city and beyond, diners can enjoy Asian-inspired small plates, robata grilled dishes, sushi, and sashimi. The restaurant also features a raw bar and a variety of exquisite cocktails and will extend to the Lucky Cat roof terrace which includes entertainment.
22 Bishopsgate and Horizon 22 redefine London’s skyline, blending business with public accessibility and stunning city views. If you’re looking for a stunning perspective of London without spending a fortune, Horizon 22 is definitely worth a visit!
